Preakness Stakes

Over the weekend the Preakness Stakes concluded with racehorse “Oxbow” taking first place, a 15-1 long shot. As official Timekeeper of the Preakness Stakes, Longines presented timepieces to the racehorse’s owner, trainer and jockey in the winners circle at Pimlico Race Course on Saturday.

Vice President and Head of International Marketing for Longines Juan-Carlos Capelli and U.S. Brand Manager for Longines Jennifer Judkins, awarded Erin Kelley, daughter of owner Brad Kelley, Trainer D. Wayne Lukas and Jockey Gary Steven timepieces from the brand’s popular Saint-Imier collection.

Longines’ omnipresence throughout the event continued with its large chronograph at the finish line as well as a digital “Longines Preakness Stakes Countdown Clock” on the official Preakness Stakes website.

Additionally, the brand hosted the Longines Most Elegant Woman at Preakness fashion contest. Celebrity judges included Torrey Smith of the Baltimore Ravens and “Miss Racing Queen” Tatiana Schoeppler. The winner was awarded a stainless steel and rose gold watch with a diamond bezel from the Saint-Imier collection.
