To celebrate their heritage, Speake-Marin created The London Chronograph, which was inspired by the early years of the British watchmaker Peter Speake-Marin. This special edition will only be available in the Fine Watch Room at Harrods.

The limited edition of three pieces is powered by the Valjoux 92 made during the 1950s and 60s. As with many mechanical calibers, the quartz revolution killed the Valoux 92 in the 60s. The movement used was purchased by a collector of vintage movements and remained unused until the 1990s.

The 42mm titanium case holds the movement and features a 3D white dial with Arabic numbers and Roman numerals to bring a vintage touch. The red 12 is usually associated with early pocket and wristwatches made in England. Functions include central hours and minutes, 30 minute counter at 3 o’clock, constant seconds hand at 9 o’clock and a central chronograph seconds hand.

About Speake-Marin
Peter Speake-Marin was born Peter Neville Speake in 1968 in Essex, England, to an English mother and Welsh father. When Peter reached the end of his secondary school education, he originally had the intention of entering the world of jewelry.
