This weekend witnessed the Formula1 US Grand Prix F1 Racing in Austin, Texas, at the Circuit of the America’s race track, where changes in elevation and some nice turns kept the races exciting. IW spent some time at the track with Swiss watch brand Armin Strom, which is also a sponsor of Marussia F1 Team.

The exciting weekend included witnessing F1 racing (as well as watching a Ferrari Challenge and a Vintage race on the famed track), touring the paddocks in general and spending quality time in the Marussia F1 Team garage.  We even got a quick meet with Marussia F1 Team driver Max Chilton, and – maybe best of all — got to wear some of the finest Armin Strom watches on the market, including thee Racing Regulator—with components made from parts of the Marussia F1 Team cars, the Gravity, the One Week, the Manual and the Tourbillon.

Throughout the weekend, Serge Michel, owner of Armin Strom, and Claude Greisler, technical director, shed some great insight into the design direction of the brand, which is a visionary reinterpretation of the magnificent skeleton work done over the decades by brand founder Armin Strom himself.  The timepieces in today’s collection feature intricately skeletonized dials that allow the components of the in-house made movements to shine with depth and dimension.
