Today we’ll look at eight more one-of-a-kind timepieces from some of our favorite watch companies, each with an unusual twist guaranteed to attract bidders to the biennial charity auction, this year slated for November 11 at Christie’s in Geneva.
Blancpain
The Tribute to Fifty Fathoms MIL-SPEC "Only Watch unique piece" is driven by the in-house self-winding caliber 1151 with a four-day power reserve and an "Only Watch" inscription engraved on the gold rotor.
The 40mm steel watch is water resistant to 300 meters and features Indexes and hands in yellow Super-LumiNova, a yellow date display and a black unidirectional bezel with luminescent yellow markings. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $11,000 - $18,000.
Breguet
The Breguet Classique Quantième Perpétuel en Ligne has a self-winding movement with perpetual calendar, cal. 502QPLT. The 39mm yellow gold watch is engraved “Only Watch 2017” and “Pièce unique.” Only Watch Auction Estimate: $83,000 - $103,000.
Carl F. Bucherer
The white gold Manero Peripheral Only Watch 2017 features the characteristic peripheral rotor that appears for the first time in the same royal blue that adorns the model’s leather strap and indexes. Alluding to the auction that will take place on November 11, the eleven of the date appears in the same blue. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $19,000 - $24,000.
Fabergé
This Fabergé Visionnaire Chronograph “If Life Gives You Lemons” Only Watch edition is driven by the automatic caliber 6361, developed in partnership with Agenhor. Hours and minutes are read at the periphery of the dial on this 43mm black ceramic and DLC-treated titanium watch. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $28,000 - $48,000.
Hermès
Slim d’Hermès L’heure impatiente, Only Watch edition, has an “Impatient Hour” module that allows the wearer to eagerly anticipate an upcoming event. An hour before it occurs, a mechanical hourglass is set in motion and its progress can be followed at 6 o’clock on the dial. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $36,000 - $57,000.
TAG Heuer
The TAG Heuer Luxury Kit “Only Watch” Special Edition is a boxed set containing the new TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 and its accessories, and the manufacture Heuer-02 Tourbillon module, both of which feature the Only Watch signature colors, black and vibrant yellow. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $16,000 – $26,000.
Ulysse Nardin
The Marine Tourbillon Only Watch timepiece features a flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock and the 60-hour power reserve at 12 o’clock on the blue, Grand Feu enamel dial. A bright yellow Roman numeral seven is in recognition of this 7th edition of Only Watch. The 43mm steel watch is powered by the UN-128 caliber. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $22,000 - $33,000.
Zenith
The Defy El Primero 21 Only Watch Edition, with a new 1/100th of a second Chronograph movement and a double chain structure with two regulators, features a 44mm black DLC titanium case with touches of yellow. It is fitted on a rubber and black alligator leather strap with yellow stitching. Only Watch Auction Estimate: $13,000 - $19,000.
