By spring or summer next year Seiko shoppers will be able to enter the Seiko boutique at 510 Madison Avenue in New York. The watch brand will soon break ground on construction of its first high-end Seiko boutique in the United States, which will appear amid many other high-end watch stores along the same stretch of Madison Avenue, including Rolex, Tourneau, IWC and Panerai.
The New York Seiko Boutique will primarily be dedicated to Seiko’s most prestigious collections, including Astron and Grand Seiko. The venture will “showcase Seiko’s progressive philosophy of presenting paramount design, quality and precision in each new project Seiko brings to the U.S. fine timepiece market,” according to Seiko.
The design process behind the New York Seiko Boutique has already begun. Seiko has partnered with design firm LxD Design Consultancy, LLC, whose global projects include monumental work for Gucci, Tiffany & Co. and Michael Kors. Further details about the new boutique will be released in the New Year. Cities with Seiko boutiques and shop-in-shops currently include Tokyo, Paris, Amsterdam, Hong Kong and Madrid.
