This spring, Hermès is showcasing new models to augment two well-known collections: the Slim d’Hermès and the Arceau.
Slim d’Hermès
Introduced in 2015, the Slim d’Hermès is known for its straightforward aesthetics and distinctive designer numerals. A hit upon its debut, the collection attracted buyers right away with its slender case and characteristic lugs.
Launching in May, this new Slim d’Hermès GMT, crafted from palladium, is just 9.48mm thick, and its slate gray dial once again displays the line’s distinctive numerals as designed by French graphic designer and typographer Philippe Apeloig.

The new watch features a sunburst chapter ring, guilloche center and date counter at 6 o’clock, as well as a silver-toned GMT counter at 10 o’clock.
Inside beats the Ultra-thin Manufacture Hermès H1950 self-winding movement, measuring just 2.6 mm thick, combined with the 1.4mm of the ultra-thin GMT module (developed by Agenhor exclusively for Hermès) showing AM/PM indications for home time and travel time.
Hermès and Vaucher, co-owned by Hermès, have equipped the movement with a micro-rotor that drives the dual time dial. As with all of this brand’s functional dials, the dual-time indicator is adjusted via a dedicated pushbutton, making the watch a worthy travel companion.

The movement’s bridges are hand-chamfered and decorated with the “Sprinkling of H’s” motif, while components of the module feature Côtes de Genève and circular graining, which may be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The Slim d’Hermès GMT, a 90-piece limited edition, is fitted on a matte graphite-colored alligator leather strap, crafted, of course, in the Hermès leather workshops. Price: $14,700
Arceau Cavales
The Hermès Arceau, designed by Henri d’Origny in 1978, is reinterpreted this year with a “cavales” equestrian motif on the dial, in white mother-of-pearl marquetry.

The new 28mm or 36mm steel timepiece is studded with 60 or 70 diamonds, respectively, on the inner bezel. A black-dial version, in 28mm, features 56 diamonds on the bezel that beautifully complement the lacquered and champlevé equestrian décor on the dial.

The former version is fitted on a matte Chantilly alligator leather strap, while the latter is fitted on a matte black alligator leather strap; both are single tour. Swiss-made quartz movements power the hours and minutes. Price: $7,550-$9,100
