(Sponsored post) Speed and Intelligence are the watchwords, literally, when describing the concept of the latest timepiece in Casio’s EDIFICE collection of men’s watches. The new EQS800 features a dial made from the same type of carbon used on Formula 1 racecars. Combine that high-velocity with the smarts of Casio’s enhanced solar charging technology, and you get the message.

The Intelligence
The new EQS800’s solar chronograph, with its solar panel hidden directly under the carbon fiber dial (a first for Casio), continually stores energy. Because Casio’s solar power panel system converts light to energy, it completely eliminates the need for battery changes. The EQS800 can even be charged in low or fluorescent light. Once charged, the watch boasts a battery life of approximately five months.

The Speed
The EQS800 showcases innovation derived from a world-class race team, namely Casio’s partners at the Scuderia Toro Rosso Formula 1 team. Take a look at the racecars used by Scuderia Toro Rosso and you’ll see the sporty design and the carbon fiber that inspired Casio’s design team.
