Alongside the Jazz Foundation of America, Parmigiani Fleurier celebrated jazz and blues at the Jazz Foundation’s twelfth annual concert gala, “A Great Night In Harlem,” at the Apollo Theater.
The evening featured live performances by members of the jazz community including Elvis Costello, Macy Gray, Chad Smith, Paul Shaffer, Sharon Jones, Nicholas Payton, Don Byron, James Carter, Henry Butler, Jonathan Batiste and more. Special appearances were made by Quincy Jones, Morgan Freeman, Danny Glover, Jeffrey Wright and more.
The festivities also included a tribute to the late Claude Nobs founder of the Montreaux Jazz Festival. A longtime sponsor of the Montreaux Jazz Festival and supporter of Nobs, Parmigiani Fleurier celebrated Nobs’ legacy as special guest and keynote speaker Quincy Jones presided.
“[Claude] was a valued and trusted friend to jazz. He harvested and created it around the world for a lifetime. He dedicated his life [to jazz].”
Parmigiani Fleurier partnered with the Jazz Foundation in 2011. A leading advocate in preserving jazz and blues music, the Jazz Foundation reinforces brand’s tradition of supporting the jazz community internationally.
“We are so proud to continue supporting the Jazz Foundation of America, as well as jazz and blues musicians everywhere. The organization’s ongoing efforts keep the music alive and musicians employed,” Managing Director for Parmigiani Fleurier Americas, Marcia Mazzocchi said.
