Vacheron Constantin recently sponsored New York City Ballet’s (NYCB) 2013 Spring Gala. The evening took place at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater and also marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of NYCB’s American Music Festival.
The evening included a private reception held by Vacheron Constantin where Performance highlights included the premier of “Pas de Deux” by choreographer Christopher Wheeldon accompanied by clarinetist Richard Stoltzman followed by NYCB’s premier of Wheeldon’s Soiree Musicale.
Hugues de Pins, President of Vacheron Constantin North America, served as the evening’s Corporate Chairman, and was joined by Gala Chairmen Randy and Jay Fishman, Whitney and Clarke Murphy and Betsy and Bob Pitts. Attendees included Fe Fendi, Valentino Garavani, Andre Previn, Leslie Stahl, artist Anh Duong and Joseph Altuzzara.

Another highlight of the event was a performance by Queen Latifah who sang The Man I Love as part of an excerpt of George Balanchine’s Who Cares? The evening’s performance also included highlights of Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes, and Jerome Robbins’ West Side Story Suite and Glass Pieces.
After the performance, guests dined and danced on the Koch Theater’s Promenade. NYCB’s Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins welcomed dinner guests with a speech expressing his gratitude to de Pins and Vacheron Constantin for their generous support.
