As the main sponsor for the Swiss Space Systems’ (S3) anti-gravity simulation program, Breitling created the S3 ZeroG Chronograph. The model will adorn the wrists of participants in S3′s ZeroG project, set to begin in 2015. The two hour flights aboard airbuses in cities all over the world will allow passenger’s increments of 20-25 seconds of free-floating like that of being in space. The timepiece is lightweight, forged in a titanium case with a SuperQuartz movement. The caliber 73 mechanism is COSC certified and termocompensated with fast timezone adjustment. Its functions include a one tenth of a second chronograph, 60 minute totalizer, 12 hour totalizer and a split-second hand. Check out the timepiece in action here.

IWC Chronograph Le Petit Prince

IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Le Petit Prince”
Onto its third installment of the successful commemorative “Le Petit Prince” timepieces, IWC released this week an all-new chronograph model in the very limited series. Last year, famed children’s book “Le Petit Prince” celebrated its 70th anniversary. IWC now continues to honor the story with a chronograph edition featuring an engraved casebook and midnight blue dial. The timepiece is powered by a mechanical caliber 79320 movement with functions including small hacking seconds, date and day display, stopwatch capabilities and hours, minutes and seconds. The stainless steel case measures 43 millimeters in diameter and includes an engraving of the Little Prince himself on the caseback.

An update to the brand’s popular Steampunk Automatic model, Romain Jerome introduced this week six new editions of the timepiece just in time for summer. The new versions feature bright colors to compliment the summer days while maintaining the original retro-futuristic design elements. The timepiece measures 50 millimeters in diameter and is forged in a black, PVD-coated stainless steel case. The Roman XII and VI numerals, as well as the Romain Jerome logo and crown, have been infused with bright colors including yellow, white, red, blue, gee and orange. Each colorful timepiece is limited to 99 pieces.

Zenith Tribute to Rolling Stones

This week Zenith announced its partnership with rock and roll legends, the Rolling Stones. Exhibiting a lasting presence, like Zenith, the Rolling Stones have been together for over 50 years and maintain their presence as one of the first and defining members of the rock and roll genre. To honor the new partnership, Zenith updated one of its own defining timepieces, the El Primero. The new El Primero Chronomaster 1960 Tribute to the Rolling Stones timepiece includes the El Primero 4061 movement visible through an aperture between 9 o’clock and 11 o’clock , and the Rolling Stones famous tongue emblem on a sundial at 6 o’clock. The timepiece is limited to 250 pieces.
