Earlier this month Girard-Perregaux showcased its award-winning Constant Escapement L.M. model at Feldmar Watch Company in Los Angeles.
Clients, collectors, editors and friends of Feldmar Watch Company were invited to listen to guest speakers, drink cocktails and view the Constant Escapement L.M. in person. Keynote speakers included Vice President of Feldmar Watch Company, Scott Meller, Strategic Marketing Consultant at Girard-Perregaux, Venanzio Ciampa, Manager of Product Development at Girard-Perregaux, Stéphane Oes and President of the Concern Foundation, Derek Alpert.
Girard-Perregaux introduced the Constant Escapement L.M. last year. It went on to win the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix award at the 2013 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). One of the mechanism’s most intriguing elements is its blade-driven constant force escapement. The part is thinner than a single human hair and is made of high-tech silicon.
During the event, Feldmar Watch Company also announced Girard-Perregaux would be featured as their “Watch of the Month” throughout June. Ten percent of all proceeds from their sales will be donated to the Concern Foundation, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to raising and granting funds to support cancer research worldwide.
