Jaquet Droz integrated its successful figure eight-shaped case, inspired by the brand’s lucky number, into the shape of its new Lady 8 Shiny timepiece.The timepiece utilizes gray gold and 1.49 carats worth of diamonds. In addition, the upper portion of the figure eight is paved with diamonds, creating a pearled effect and weighing in at 1.4 carats. Diamonds are also found on the lugs, allowing for a total carat count of 4.92. Finishing the timepiece, an alligator leather strap with a figure eight folding clasp paved with diamonds.
JEANRICHARD Limited Edition Terrascope for Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber
Limited to eight pieces, JEANRICHARD’s new Limited Edition Terrascope for Le Cabinet de Curiosités of Thomas Erber pays tribute to renowned journalist and special correspondent in culture, trends and travel, Thomas Erber. Measuring 44 millimeters in diameter, the aluminum blue case features a titanium crown and caseback and houses a JR60 self-wound mechanical movement. The mechanism beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and contains 26 jewels. The dial continues the blue motif and also includes red indexes and luminous accents.
Roger Dubuis Velvet Haute Couture
Roger Dubuis’ latest collection of ladies timepieces feature mechanics to match outstanding beauty. The Velvet Haute Couture collection is limited to 88 pieces in total and all three models are powered by the self-wound RD821 movement. Three models make up the collection, the first includes a mink fur strap and a white gold case paved with diamonds totaling 4.34 carats. The second takes inspiration from corsets and the hourglass figure. It Utilizes a tonneau-shaped dial with a diamond-paved center and roman numerals, as well as a laced strap reminiscent of the corset. The third timepiece in the collection gives a nod to a staple in any woman’s drawer, the stocking. The rose gold case is surrounded with brilliant-cut diamonds and is affixed with a fishnet stocking inspired strap, bringing the luxury of the leg up to the wrist.

In tribute to its record-breaking ambassador, Felix Baumgartner, Zenith recently introduced the new Academy Christophe Calomb Tribute to Felix Baumgartner model. Limited to just 10 pieces, the timepiece celebrates, among his other achievements, adventurer’s record-breaking jump from a stratospheric capsule to Earth. The timepiece is powered by an El Primero 8804 hand-wound movement comprised of 308 pieces. In addition, it also includes a gyroscopic carriage made of 171 pieces and beats at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour. The DLC-coated platinum case measures 45 millimeters in diameter and includes a hand-chased and engraved gold depiction of Baumgartner emerging from the capsule before his jump. The case back also features an engraving of Baumgartner jumping to earth surrounded by information about the timepiece and the jump.
