BR-X1 Skeleton Chrono
Dubbed “the ultimate utility watch,” Bell & Ross’ new BR-X1 is the first in an entirely new collection based on the successful BR-01 collection. Limited to 250 pieces, the timepiece was designed to to be ultra-durable while maintaining ergonomic shape and lightness. The case measures 45 millimeters in diameter and is forged from titanium and ceramic. Rubber inserts on the pushers, crown and left side of the case increase grip capability in any condition. The skeletonized chronograph movement lies beneath a gray-tinted mineral glass and sundials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock highlight its functionality. Luminous metal indicators allow increased visibility, as well as red highlights throughout the timepiece. The model is finished with a woven black rubber strap with a matching steel pin buckle with rubber insert.
Ralph Lauren 45mm Automotive Chronograph
Ralph Lauren previews its 2015 collection with the new 45mm Automotive Chronograph. The timepiece was inspired by brand founder, Ralph Lauren’s 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC and its instrument panel. The model includes a caliber RL751A/1 self-winding movement that boasts a power reserve of 65 hours. Its functions include hours, minutes, seconds, center chronograph, minute counter, 12 hour counter and date displayed in an aperture at 6 o’clock. The case is stainless steel and measures 44.8 millimeters in diameter. The matte black center of the timepiece is surrounded by brown elm burl wood expanding its likeness to the automobile. Finishing the timepiece, a black alligator leather strap with a stainless steel pin buckle to match the case.
