At the 15th annual Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, the so-called “Oscars of the watch industry,” the Aiguille d’Or Grand Prix (The Golden Hand) award went to Greubel Forsey for its Tourbillon 24 Secondes while the category prizes were awarded to both independent watchmakers and established firms. Vacheron Constantin took home the Special Jury Prize for its super-complicated Reference 57260.
The event drew an audience of 1,500 guests, including watchmakers, watch company executives, press and watch enthusiasts. A comical duo of Frédéric Beigbeder, a French writer and Gaspard Prous, a comedian, kept the evening rolling for the audience at the Grand Theatre in Geneva. This year, the twenty-seven Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève jury members faced tough decisions and heated debates when choosing the winner for each of the competitive categories. Below we’ve compiled a complete list of all the winning timepieces and their makers.
