The Nomos Tangomat GMT is a world time watch that effortlessly changes between different timezones. The simplistic, Bauhaus inspired design makes this watch modern and stylish while the blue hands leap off the white dial. The Transocean collection was designed to be a contemporary classic watch. Originally launched in 1958, the modern pieces pay homage to original design yet take advantage of modern technology. The white dial Explorer II, also nicknamed “Polar,” was originally released in 1971 as the next progression in the Explorer line. This model quickly became the watch of choice for exploration, especially to polar regions thanks to its features. The white dial paired with orange GMT hand is distinctive to Rolex. The 24-hour bezel adds an additional timezone or can allow the wearer to distinguish the daytime from night time, especially important in caves or polar regions in the summer where the sun never sets. The Master Moon Auto features a triple date, or Complete Calendar. Around the outside of the silver dial, is the date, highlighted by a red crescent moon. Also in red is the day of the week and month of the year. At 6 o’clock is the moonphase, showing the waxing and waning on the moon throughout the month. IWC Portuguese 7-Day IW5001-13
The Portuguese 7-day pays homage to the distinctive, and classic, design found on the first Portuguese watches produced in the 1930s. The skeletonized rotor on the exhibition caseback shows off the in house movement of the automatic movement. The watch boasts a 7-day power reserve which can be read on the dial. The power reserve will be highlighted in red on the final day, reminding you to wind the movement again. Govberg Price: $14,500.
Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167/1A-001
The Patek Philippe Aquanaut is the perfect combination of sport and elegance for the spring and summer. The black waffle dial stands out against the 40mm stainless steel case and bracelet. Through the exhibition caseback you can see the in house movement with its in house, stamped movement. The Aquanaut is ready to hit the water or stay on dry land. Govberg Price: $18,950.
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Dual Time 26120OR.OO.D002C
The Royal Oak Dual Time is a complicated watch housed in a 39mm rose gold case with the iconic tapisserie dial. The watch not only features a second timezone at 6 o’clock accompanied with an am/pm indicator and power reserve indicator. The sporty watch comes on a crocodile strap which dresses it up. The movement, while not visible through the caseback, is made using over 260 parts with a 21k gold oscillating weight. Govberg Price: $23,500.
