Raymond Weil announced, yesterday, the appointment of Elie Bernheim as its CEO. Bernheim replaces his father, Olivier, and represents the third generation at the helm of the Swiss watch company.
The grandson of Raymond Weil himself, Bernheim has an expertise in both watchmaking and marketing. Previously, he was in charge of the development and optimization of Raymond Weil’s global strategy. Bernheim will remain the head of Raymond Weil’s marketing department as well, bridging global outreach to the principles the company was founded upon.
Raymond Weil was founded in 1976 and remains an independent company. It is based in Geneva and its timepieces are often inspired by music. Some of the brand’s most renowned collections and timepieces were directly inspired by opera and musical creations, including the Nabucco, Maestro and Jasmine.
Elie’s father, Olivier Bhernhiem, joined Raymond Weil in 1982 and became CEO of the watchmaking brad in 1996. He will remain President of the Board of Directors and, with his vast experience and knowledge of the company, will remain a consultant for Raymond Weil.
