Charriol is adding a new model to its Gran Celtica SuperSportS, thereby introducing a more streamlined look for the collection, which features a strong allusion to motorsports. A limited edition of just thirty 46 millimeter automatic chronographs will be solely available in Switzerland before its general release at Baselworld 2015.
“This is a watch that embodies my love of motorsports, and it has deep meaning for me,” Founder Philippe Charriol, an avid racecar driver, said. “As a high-performance timepiece, it will appeal to all men who appreciate the thrill and skill of motorsports, and who are looking for a great accessory to express this sporting attitude.”
Adding to the new and sleeker look, a stainless steel chain link bracelet takes the place of the traditional cable-motif rubber strap. The easy-to-read silver-toned dial has large Arabic numerals at 4, 8 and 12 o’clock. The hour counter is at 6 o’clock, minutes at 12 o’clock, and the small seconds turbine-style aperture at 9 o’clock further adds to the overall motorsports styling. A date window is at 3 o’clock.
