Following 2013’s self-winding, musical mechanical watch, Stranger, which plays a rendition of the song “Strangers in the Night,” is Ulysse Nardin’s  ode to Vivaldi. This in-house developed watch, making its debut at BaselWorld 2015, performs the “Violin Concerto in E” from the famed Baroque composer’s Four Seasons.

Based on the Ulysse Nardin caliber 690 using silicium technology, owners can enjoy listening to the melody on the hour and on request. By simply pressing the on/off pusher at the 10 o’clock position, the musical mechanism may be activated or deactivated. Press the melody-on-call pusher at 8 o’clock and enjoy a melodic lift throughout the day.

This limited edition of 99 pieces is powered by the caliber UN-690, whose escapement, anchor and balance spring are made of silicium. The rose gold case measures in at 45mm, and the watch’s unique dial display includes a music box mechanism on a rotating disc with ten blades. Small seconds and a date display are at 6 o’clock; Roman numerals mark the hours.
